IT Support Technician

About the role
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join our team at Elonera Montessori School in Mount Ousley, NSW. In this part-time role (20 hours per week), you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintaining the school's IT systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with our teachers and staff to ensure the smooth running of our technology-enabled learning environment.

A current Working with Children Check is required before commencement of employment.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing first-line technical support to users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues

2. Managing IT assets including provisioning new devices, running updates, completing installs and managing spares.

3. Being actively involved in a range of IT projects and change management, ensuring a smooth process that supports the continuous improvement within the school.

4. Maintaining and set-up of audio-visual equipment for school events and presentations.

5. Documenting IT processes and procedures, and providing training to staff as needed

6. Collaborating with external IT service providers and vendors to ensure the effective delivery of IT services
   

What we're looking for

1. Entry level experience working with digital systems and devices

2. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and software issues independently.

3. Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, or Linux, and common productivity software.

4. Experience supporting audio-visual equipment setup, maintenance, and operation for events or classrooms.

5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to assist staff and students effectively.

6. Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a school or community environment.

7. Understanding of basic IT security practices and procedures to ensure safe use of school systems.
