Sous Chef - Pellegrinis Italian Orange

Pellegrini's Italian Orange is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team on a full-time basis at our busy Italian restaurant in Orange, NSW.

Task & responsibilities

• Planning and developing menus in consultation with management.
• Preparing and cooking Italian dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Monitoring food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Supervising kitchen operations during service periods.
• Managing stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Training and mentoring kitchen staff where required.
• Assisting with the development of seasonal specials and new menu items.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management, or equivalent qualification; or
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a Chef.
• Experience working in a busy restaurant environment.
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
