We are a well-established hospitality group operating several busy restaurants and bars in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and are seeking a highly organised and guest-focused Reservations & Events Coordinator to manage reservations, private dining enquiries, and events. This role is central to delivering exceptional guest experiences by coordinating bookings, events, and communication between guests and front-of-house teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage all reservation enquiries via phone, email, and booking platforms (SevenRooms).
Confirm, modify, and coordinate bookings while providing professional guest communication.
Manage private dining, group bookings, and event enquiries from initial enquiry through to service.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate dining, group bookings, and private events.
Conduct outbound sales and relationship building with corporates, concierges, event planners, and local partners.
Coordinate special guest requests including dietary requirements, celebrations, and VIP bookings.
Optimise seating plans, manage waitlists, and oversee deposits or pre-payment bookings.
Maintain accurate reservation records including cancellations, no-shows, and walk-ins.
Manage SevenRooms back-of-house setup and maintenance, including floorplans, availability, tags, experiences, and booking settings.
Prepare reservation briefs and event run sheets for floor and kitchen teams.
Maintain and update guest databases, ensuring returning guest preferences are captured.
Monitor booking trends and contribute ideas to increase bookings, drive event sales, and optimise capacity while working closely with FOH teams to ensure smooth service.
Previous experience in hospitality reservations, or events coordination
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Experience with booking platforms such as SevenRooms, Now Book It, OpenTable, or similar.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
