About the role
Triple H Osteocare is seeking a friendly and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team in a casual capacity. Based in Kincumber NSW 2251, this role is fundamental to delivering exceptional patient experiences and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing appointments efficiently, and supporting our clinical team to provide outstanding osteopathic care.
What you'll be doing
Greeting patients with warmth and professionalism, and creating a positive first impression
Managing appointment scheduling, confirmations and cancellations using clinic management software
Processing patient registrations and maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
Handling phone enquiries and providing information about services, practitioners and treatment options
Processing payments and managing invoicing in accordance with clinic procedures
Coordinating with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the day
Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception area
Managing general administrative tasks including filing, data entry and correspondence
Following Health Privacy Act requirements and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
Assisting with other clinic duties as required to support the team
What we're looking for
Previous experience working as a medical or dental receptionist, or in a similar healthcare administration role
Minimum 1-2 years of medical or dental reception experience is required
Proficiency with computer systems, appointment scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff
Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
A friendly, patient and empathetic approach to customer service
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures is advantageous
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
Flexibility and reliability, with availability to work casual shifts as required
Availability for weekday casual shifts is essential
Current knowledge of privacy compliance and patient data protection principles
Australian work rights are required for this position
