A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Medical Secretary, neurosurgery/spinal surgery preferred, to join our practice based at Epworth Richmond on a part time basis.
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Working with the administration team to ensure the efficient running of the practice
Preparing consulting lists, scheduling appointments and diary management
Managing incoming mail, faxes, emails and telephone queries
Maintaining a professional, welcoming and well-organised environment
Providing administrative support to the Practice Manager
Experience preparing patient quotes, billing and health fund claims, including Eclipse
Experience with Scheduling and coordinating theatre booking lists and liaison with anaesthetists, surgical assistants, hospitals and patients
To be successful in the role you will need to possess the following:
Medical secretary experience in a surgical setting, preferrable neurosurgery/spinal surgery
Sound knowledge of Windows applications
Experience in CareRight software preferred but not essential
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work unsupervised, autonomously and with other staff
Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment and to prioritise
Sound administration skills including attention to detail and accuracy
Well-developed skills associated with working in a strong team environment
Reliability, punctuality and flexibility to cover sick leave and annual leave
Excellent computer skills
Discretion and confidentiality in all aspects of work
The salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with knowledge and experience.
