At Centre for Developing Children (CFDC), we do occupational therapy differently.

We are a paediatric occupational therapy clinic supporting children and young people aged 0–25 years through evidence-based, child-led, and strengths-based therapy. Our work focuses on creating meaningful outcomes that extend beyond the therapy room into everyday life.

Our team works collaboratively with families, educators, schools, and other professionals to support participation across home, school, community, and social environments.

CFDC has a strong focus on:

  • Sensory processing and emotional regulation
  • Motor coordination and praxis
  • Functional independence and participation
  • Developmental and relationship-based approaches

We are passionate about developing strong clinicians and are looking for an early career Occupational Therapist eager to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully within a supportive team environment.

About the Role

This role is ideal for an early career OT passionate about paediatrics and looking to build strong clinical reasoning skills within a collaborative and evidence-based environment.

You will:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to children and young people aged 0–25 years
  • Support clients with sensory processing, emotional regulation, motor skills, self-care, social participation, and daily living skills
  • Work across clinic, school, home, and community settings
  • Collaborate closely with families, educators, and the broader multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in assessment, goal setting, intervention planning, and report writing
  • Contribute to therapy groups and capacity-building initiatives

Structured Onboarding & Support

At CFDC, we understand how important the early years of your career are.

You will be supported through a structured onboarding and development pathway designed to help you transition confidently into paediatric practice. This includes:

  • Structured onboarding and gradual caseload progression
  • Ongoing supervision and mentoring
  • Regular clinical support and reflective practice
  • Exposure to sensory integration-informed practice
  • Support to develop strong clinical reasoning and confidence

Our goal is not just to support you to “run sessions,” but to help you become a thoughtful, skilled, and confident clinician.

  • Is genuinely passionate about paediatric occupational therapy
  • Is curious, reflective, and eager to learn
  • Values evidence-based and child-led practice
