General Medicine Consultant

We are seeking a Consultant in General Medicine to become a member of a major hospital team within a prestigious, multi-disciplinary facility located in Northern Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Medicine Consultant to provide high-level clinical expertise in a busy, acute-care hospital.

You will be responsible for managing a range of complex medical conditions, providing leadership to junior medical staff, and contributing to the teaching and development of future healthcare professionals. Emergency and critical care, Comprehensive diagnostic imaging, Specialist outpatient clinics, Surgical services, Maternity and neonatal care, Mental health services, Palliative care and rehabilitation and Indigenous health services

• Provide expert medical care for a wide range of adult patients in a hospital setting
• Manage complex medical cases across various specialties and work closely with multidisciplinary teams
• Lead and mentor junior medical staff and contribute to the educational development of trainees
• Engage in clinical audits and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call and after-hours services as required

• FRACP (Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians) or equivalent specialist qualification
• Demonstrated experience in general medicine with a broad range of medical conditions
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
• Ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
