Waikiki Dental Centre is seeking a qualified and patient-focused Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to a diverse patient base. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality diagnostic, preventive, restorative, cosmetic and emergency dental services while contributing to the practice's commitment to modern, family-friendly and affordable dental care.


Benefits

Salary range: $140,000 - $160,000 per Annum +Superannuation.


Task & responsibilities

  • Helping patients care for their long-term oral health through providing preventative treatments such as fluoride applications, teeth cleaning and guiding patients to utilise daily cleaning hygiene routines.   
  • Managing the diagnosis, as required, aided by our state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.   
  • Deliver restorative procedures including implants, crowns, bridges etc.  
  • Deliver general dentistry such as fillings and tooth restorations.   
  • You will also have the opportunity to be involved with some minor surgical treatments and treat abscesses and other problems/diseases through prescribing medication or referring patients to other medical professionals such as other doctors, speech pathologists etc. 
  • Review possible orthodontic cases and refer to orthodontists as required.    
  • Maintaining and processing patient records with relevant regulations.

Qualification & experience

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or equivalent dental qualification recognised in Australia. 
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time post-qualification experience in general dentistry.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Dentist. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) and maintaining professional competency.  
  • Proven ability to perform a broad range of general dental procedures, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative and preventive dentistry.
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic and patient management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with patients. 
  • Friendly, reliable and compassionate manner with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
