Early Learning Services | Childcare
Closing date: 10/04/2026

When you join MercyCare, you become part of something bigger than a job. We live by our values of respect, integrity, compassion, justice, excellence and courage, and we are committed to safeguarding and protecting children, young people and vulnerable people in our community.

About the benefits

You'll become part of an inclusive, diverse, and welcoming Western Australian organisation passionately committed to making a meaningful impact in the local community. Our MercyCare Promise is focused on ensuring our people are connected and empowered to make a positive difference in the heart of our communities.

As a valued team member, you’ll also enjoy access to:

  • Not for profit Salary Packaging up to $15,900 including meal and entertainment options!
  • 30% childcare discount for your little ones
  • Paid professional development and staff meetings
  • Work for a WA owned and operated, not-for-profit, values-based organisation
  • 6 weeks maternity leave, 5 weeks annual leave and the ability to purchase additional leave
  • Comprehensive Wellbeing Program including discounted health insurance and free flu vaccinations
  • Access to Employee Assistance Program

About the role

At MercyCare we believe every child is a unique person and we work to bring out their special qualities and strengths. Join our experienced Early Learning team as a Diploma Educator on a casual or part-time basis. We have opportunities at our Heathridge or Ballajura Centre. You’ll assist in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of programs for individual children and groups while recording observations and implementing routines.

Our centres are like a home away from home with a dedicated team who are there to support your journey. In the spacious outdoor play area, children can run free and explore the world around them — and you’ll be a part of every moment of their learning and growth.

About you

You’ll be looking for a role that leaves you feeling fulfilled every day and a passion for supporting children to develop their physical, language, cognitive, social and emotional skills.

In addition, you will also possess:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • The ability to engage in structure play-based learning with children
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Current HLTAID012 and CPR, or be willing to obtain one
  • WA Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
