Wendouree Medical Centre is seeking a skilled and motivated Enrolled Nurse to join our growing general practice team. This role focuses primarily on providing clinical support to General Practitioners, assisting with minor procedures, coordinating patient care, and delivering immunization services.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high standards of patient care within a professional and fast-paced primary healthcare setting.

Task & responsibilities

Assess, plan and implement nursing care in accordance with accepted nursing standards
Provide general medical assistance to General Practitioners
Assist with minor surgical procedures and treatment room activities
Administer medications, injections and vaccinations (including child immunizations)
Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and care plans
Perform wound care, dressings, ECGs and other clinical procedures
Support chronic disease management and care planning
Assist Registered Nurses and other team members in coordinating and evaluating care
Participate in health promotion and preventative health initiatives
Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations

Qualification & experience

AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma
At least one year of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications
Current AHPRA registration (mandatory)
Strong clinical skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient-centred care and professional ethics
