OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

All Kids and Family has a number of allied health professionals and support services staff employed or contracted. The disciplines include: Speech Pathology, Psychology, Educational Support, Occupational Therapy, Art Therapists, Dieticians, Therapy Assistants and Administrative/Support Services. Each discipline has a clinical or professional senior to provide support, supervision and guidance within their discipline.

Task & responsibilities

• Fully registered or the ability to obtain registration with AHPRA
• Must possess good communication skills in written and verbal communication.
• Must have good interpersonal skills.
• Must possess good analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to coordinate the delivery of a service, including managing enquiries, referrals and intake as well as recording and reporting service information
• Experience in managing caseload of clients with disabilities.
• Commitment to undertaking necessary training in NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Practice Standards, Complaints Management, Incident Management and completion of Worker Orientation Module
• Ability to use assessment skills and tailor evidence-based intervention to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families or carers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current valid Class C Driver Licence and use of own vehicle for business purposes
• NSW Working With Children Check clearance for paid employment
• An NDIS Worker Screening Check

Qualification & experience

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or recognized equivalent
• Current first aid, CPR and anaphylaxis certificates (preferred)
• Demonstrated experience specific to the challenges of caseload of individuals with Autism Spectrum Diagnosis.
• SOS Feeding training
• Experience in conducting Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) and FCA reports
• Previous experience with providing clinical supervision to junior OT colleagues
