• Option for hiring as a salaried employee (PAYG) is available if requested. 
• Lucrative package with billing percentages commensurate with registration levels:
• Limited Registration: 55% of billables. 
• Provisional Registration: 60% of billables. 
• Non-VR General Registration: 65% of billables. 
• Specialist (VRGP) Registration: 70% of billables. 

Task & responsibilities

• Provide high quality, primary health care services to the patients of the practice, in keeping with best practice standards.
• Provide appropriate care and services to patients of all age ranges, ethnic/national/cultural backgrounds, and levels of health care needs.
• Respond to medical/ health problems presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate.
• Provide management of long-term and chronic conditions in line with national guidelines and pathways.
• Prescribe, administer, and supervise the administration of medications for patients as appropriate to need.
• Provide appropriate health promotion and preventative health care advice to all patients attending the practice.
• Ordering diagnostic tests as required, including radiology, pathology, endoscopy, etc., follow up on results, and interpret results accordingly to apply necessary changes to the patient's diagnoses and treatment plans. Referring patients to other providers (specialist medical practitioners, allied health practitioners, psychologists, hospitals).
• Record and maintain accurate, adequate and relevant patient records using the established practice protocols and computerised medical records system, including but not limited to: specialist referrals, previous health and family history, prescriptions, investigations, treatment, diagnostic results, registers and recalls.
• Liaise and coordinate with other practitioners, specialist services and allied health professionals in shared care plans as needed

Qualification & experience

• Medical Board of Australia/AHPRA registered (or eligible to register) in Limited, Provisional, General, or Specialist GP Registration.
• Vocationally Recognised GPs (holding FRACGP or FACRRM) is a plus, but not required. 
• At least one year of recent, full-time experience as a GP (or a closely related role).
