Dairy Cattle Farm Operator

Riverslea Farms, located in Maffra in Victoria, is looking for a Dairy Cattle Farm Operator to help with all aspects of dairy farm operations. The farm milks 350 cows daily.

Operate Milking plant and equipment

Report equipment not operating

Read and record instruments

Understand safe working principles

Animal welfare

Team work

Work unsupervised at times

Maintain machinery

Know general dairy terminology

Qualification & experience

At least one year of dairy related work experience or a Certificate II level qualification. 

• Previous experience working on a dairy farm, preferably one or two years or a Certificate II or III in a dairy related qualification 
• Familiarity with dairy farming practices and principles
• Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Organisational and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and leadership abilities
• Valid driver's license needed
