$65,000 - $70,000 Annual

The role of the Farm Hand is to assist in the farm’s day to day operations. This includes assisting with managing herd health (including heifer and calf management), milk quality and production, dairy audit requirements, pasture management and maintenance tasks, under guidance from the Farm Manager/Owner. Contributing to and working with the farm team, undertaking day to day administration including all Work Health and Safety requirements are core duties to ensure the farm business is running efficiently and productively.

Task & responsibilities

•    Complete milk harvesting operations, milk quality and daily productivity 

•    Animal husbandry – cow, heifer and calf management, identification of common ailments. 

•    Feed delivery

•    Plant, machinery and infrastructure maintenance 

•    Record keeping and audit requirements and other farm hand tasks as required


Qualification & experience

At least six months of experience working as a farm hand on a dairy farm. Ideally at a year.
