As the Project Manager you will lead key initiatives within our Contemporary Industrial Relations (CIR) program, with a strong focus on Human Capital Management. This role operates across the enterprise and requires a strategic mindset, moving beyond single business stream delivery to align with broader organisational objectives.

Your role will include:

• Manage the project across the full lifecycle through define phases and stage gates
• Develop detailed project plans, articulating business drivers, future state vision, key objectives, milestones, timelines and measures of success
• Establish clear ownership for project tasks and coordinate the project team
• Develop, monitor and achieve project budget and financial targets
• Identify, document and manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
• Develop communication and reporting requirements

This position will be appointed on a maximum term contract basis until 31 Dec 2026.

what we are looking for

You will demonstrate strong resilience and the ability to navigate complex and evolving environments. You will have proven experience in change management, successfully guiding teams through complex and evolving environments while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement at all levels. A pragmatic and solutions-focused approach is essential, with the ability to balance competing priorities, make informed decisions, and drive delivery outcomes.

While deep Industrial Relations expertise is not required, familiarity with workplace relations or people-related projects will be highly regarded, with subject matter experts supporting this domain.

You will bring:

• passion, commitment and belief in young people
• tertiary qualifications in project management, business administration or similar and at least 8 years’ experience within a commercial environment, with demonstrable experience managing multi-faceted projects
• excellent influencing, negotiation and communication skills, with the confidence to take a firm stance and escalate when required, while maintaining professionalism and strong working relationships
• strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
• experience with risk management, project planning, and resource allocation
• familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall), and relevant tools and software
• commitment to fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and a positive team culture
