About Our Client
Our leading global mining and resource client is Australia's largest producer and supplier of seaborne metallurgical coal. With over 100 years of operation within Australia, they mine metallurgical coal across seven sites within their Queensland Operations in the Bowen Basin with with local, DIDO and FIFO opportunities available.
What You Will Be Doing
As an Execution Supervisor, you will lead structural remediation and maintenance activities across site, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, disciplined execution, and the ability to manage contractors and competing priorities in an operational mining environment.
The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For
Leading daily execution of structural maintenance, coatings, access, and concrete remediation worksFacilitating structured pre-starts and ensuring critical controls are in placeSupervising contractors to meet safety, quality, and technical standardsDelivering work in line with AIMS, site procedures, and Australian/ISO standardsEnsuring all ITPs are completed, verified, and signed offMonitoring progress, cost, and productivity while escalating issues earlyManaging Week 0 execution and contributing to forward planning (Week +1 to +4)Closing out work packages with accurate documentationMaintaining strong cross-shift communication and handoversDriving safety culture through visible leadership and accountabilitySupporting inspections, defect identification, and incident investigationsBuilding strong relationships across CHPP, Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
What You Will Need
Mechanical trade qualification or Engineering background (minimum requirement)Solid experience in asset integrity, maintenance, or heavy industry environments Proven ability to lead contractors and deliver large-scale maintenance/remediation worksStrong safety focus with structured and disciplined work practicesAbility to manage competing priorities and make confident decisionsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience in coal mining, CHPP, or processing environments (highly regarded)
