Civil Engineer

Michael Bale & Associates are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our expanding Gold Coast team, where you will get the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, in a flexible and enjoyable way.

Working on:

Some of the biggest towers for clients like Aria Property, Gurner, and Project Sunlight (8 stage tower project at Gold Coast Turf Club). Google: Upper House (Aria), Sunlight Lifestyle Precinct (Aquis at Gold Coast Turf Club, La Pelago Budds Beach (Gurner), Coast Apartments Northciffe (Sammut Group).

Public parklands Like Greenheart Stage 1 Robina(delivered), Dixon Reserve Parklands, Firth Park Detailed masterplan, Burleigh headland recreation project (John Laws & Rudd Parks redevelopment).

Industrial subdivisions between Burleigh and Brisbane. 20ha Industrial Subdivision in Flagstone currently underway.

Residential subdivisions in Northern NSW to Mackay. 368 lot subdivision in Lowood currently underway. Many similar projects of scale currently in design planning and the pipeline.

Retail facilities, supermarkets and shopping centres.

Schools, University and civic projects.

Public Infrastructure, road upgrades, public utilities and government projects.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join our experienced Gold Coast team. We seek candidates who have a passion for civil engineering and want to progress their skills, experience and expand their career opportunity. 

The role includes delivery of engineering at Development Application stage design and reporting, as well as and detailed design phase on a variety of projects, including public parklands, residential subdivisions, high rise towers, commercial/industrial precincts and public infrastructure projects.

We are looking for someone who enjoys site and office balance, with involvement in construction supervision, as well as design, reporting and seeking to grow their design and project management skills with support and mentoring.

You will work as part of a motivated team, contributing to the successful delivery of projects, working with our team of designers, drafters and engineers. 

Training will be provided with the role to ensure upskilling and career progression for the successful candidate who will be supported by senior staff and management.

Required Qualifications and Capabilities

Only applicants with the following proven qualifications and capabilities should apply:

• Experience in civil engineering land development projects is preferred and increased experience will attract a higher salary.

• Tertiary qualifications, Bachelor of Civil Engineering required (or equivalent).

• Enthusiastic, driven, focused and reliable.

• Willingness to learn in a team environment.

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Possess drivers license for attendance to site meetings or inspections.

• Experience with software packages such as Drains, Music, 12d and Autocad will be advantages.

• RPEQ or working towards RPEQ status will be advantageous.
