Civil Project Engineer

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Civil  Project Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. The role involves planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and efficient project delivery.

Working closely with experienced Project Managers and site teams, you’ll be supporting the delivery of remedial and civil works. This role is predominantly site-based, giving you the opportunity to be involved in the full project lifecycle from planning through to execution.

Task & responsibilities

• Planning, designing, and managing civil engineering projects in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards
• Preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Analysing site conditions, materials, and construction methods to support project execution
• Coordinating with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery
• Monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering designs, Australian Standards, and safety regulations
• Conducting site inspections and addressing technical issues during construction phases
• Assisting in cost estimation, budgeting, and project scheduling
• Evaluating materials and construction methodologies to improve efficiency and performance
• Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success
• Maintaining accurate project documentation, records, and reports
• Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements and company policies

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field
• At least 1 year  relevant work experience
• Knowledge of civil construction practices and Australian Standards
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
