Project Manager / Project Coordinator - Manufacturing
Join a small, but successful and growing family-run business known for strong values, commitment to quality and a practical, solutions-focused and can do approach to work. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a hands-on Project Manager / Project Coordinator to join the team.
This is a full-time, permanent role (Monday–Friday), with reasonable overtime required.
Because the projects involved are fast moving and customer-focused, the successful applicant must be flexible and willing to work a variety of hours when required, including occasional out-of-hours calls or problem solving if and when a project requires it.
About the Role
This role sits between project management, site coordination and logistics. You will work closely with production, clients and site teams to ensure projects run smoothly from planning through to completion.
The position is hands-on and practical, ideal for someone who understands how worksites operate and enjoys solving problems and keeping projects moving.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating projects from planning through to delivery
Liaising with clients and internal teams to manage timelines and expectations
Planning logistics and ensuring equipment, materials and components arrive where needed
Measuring and checking requirements where needed to support projects
Monitoring project budgets using simple spreadsheets
Ensuring project documentation and records are maintained
Being forward-thinking and proactive, identifying issues before they arise
Working closely with the production team to ensure projects are delivered correctly
Final checks on project trailers to ensure all required equipment and additional items are loaded before dispatch
Occasional travel to Toowoomba
About You
This role may suit someone who has come from a trade background and is looking to move into a coordination or management role while still remaining involved in the practical side of projects.
You will ideally bring:
A trade or technical background (highly regarded)
A good understanding of how work sites operate
Strong logistics thinking and problem-solving ability
The ability to think outside the box and remain calm when plans change
A methodical and organised approach
Confidence working with budget spreadsheets and basic IT systems
Strong communication and client management skills
The ability to be firm but professional, setting realistic expectations with clients
A thick skin and practical mindset when dealing with challenges
The ability to adapt to a customer's pace while maintaining control of the project
A proactive attitude with the ability to anticipate issues rather than simply reacting to them
