Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Financial Research Analyst / Research Assistant role based in Geelong, VIC. The role involves conducting in-depth financial and market research, collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and preparing concise research reports, briefs, and presentations for internal and client use. The analyst will support financial modeling, scenario analysis, and valuation work to inform strategic and investment-related decisions. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing academic and industry literature, synthesizing complex financial information, and contributing to the design of research methodologies that integrate financial insights with broader analytical frameworks. The role also includes collaborating with cross-functional team members, clearly communicating findings to non-specialist audiences, and maintaining high standards of accuracy, documentation, and ethical research practice.QualificationsStrong foundation in Financial Research and Finance, with the ability to interpret financial statements, market data, and economic indicators.Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including quantitative analysis, critical thinking, and structured problem-solving.Experience or training in Financial Modeling, such as building spreadsheets for forecasting, valuation, and scenario analysis.Effective Communication skills, including clear written reports, presentations, and the ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.High level of attention to detail, data accuracy, and documentation, with strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with analytical or statistical tools.Ability to work on-site in Geelong, VIC, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and collaborate respectfully in a multidisciplinary environment.Experience with academic or policy research, exposure to AI or data tools, and an interest in ethical research practices are advantageous.
