Redeemer Lutheran College is seeking several Educators to work 2-4 shifts per week throughout the school term and 4-5 shifts per week throughout vacation care periods.

An immediate start is preferred. Availability for at least 3 afternoons per week during school term (from 2:00pm), and at least 3 full days per week over vacation care periods is required.

In this busy and varied role you will:

  • Assist in the care of children within the Outside School Hours Care Centre;

  • Assist in the preparation and supervision of activities and in all areas of the program;

  • Complete required weekly paperwork and documentation;

  • Be actively involved with the children in an appropriate manner;

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the service;

  • Be aware of duty of care responsibilities and the safety of all children in the services care, including managing medical conditions and ensuring compliance regarding people authorized to collect children. 

The ideal person will:

  • Have (or be studying towards) a Cert III or Diploma in Education & Care, Bachelor of Education, or other relevant ACECQA approved qualification;

  • Possess a current paid ‘Blue Card’ work suitability card;

  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) current First Aid, Anaphylaxis Management and Asthma Management certificates (HLTAID012);

  • Have a fantastic sense of fun and tremendous imagination.

Preference will be given to applicants who can support and contribute to the College’s Christian ethos. Previous experience in an OSHC service is preferable.
