ROLE OUTLINE

Salvado Catholic College is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative educator from all stages of their career to join the College as a Secondary Relief Teacher. The capacity to teach in Religious Education is desirable. This is a temporary position commencing immediately. 

As a Secondary Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging and challenging learning experiences that inspire curiosity, critical thinking and a passion for lifelong learning in every student. You will be committed to the holistic development of students – academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually – and actively contribute to the faith life and mission of the College. 

Your day will look like:
•    Inspiring students through engaging and purposeful learning experiences
•    Using contemporary teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs
•    Fostering the spiritual, emotional and academic growth of students
•    Collaborating with colleagues in a supportive and innovative team environment
•    Building strong relationships with students, families and peers based on mutual respect
•    Being a role model of the College’s values and actively supporting Catholic identity

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
•    A tertiary teaching qualification and TRBWA registration
•    A current Working with Children registration
•    To be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education
•    To be working towards or have completed the Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School
•    Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other staff to promote student learning.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Proven ability to develop positive relationships with staff, students and parents.
