Support Worker

Home Caring Coffs Harbour is an ethical and fast-growing provider of NDIS and Aged Care services in the Mid North Coast of NSW.

We are currently seeking passionate and reliable Support Workers, Care Workers, and Disability Support Workers to assist with the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to a range of fantastic clients and NDIS participants.

As a Home-Based Support Worker, you will operate using a mobile work model (with electronic systems for admin tasks), and receive travel reimbursement and access to ongoing training tailored to client needs.

There is scope to work specifically with NDIS participants, Aged Care clients, or a mix of both, depending on your preferences and experience.

Key responsibilities of a Support Worker may include:

• Personal care support in the home (bathing, toileting, mobility assistance)
• Social and community participation (attending activities, events, or appointments – own vehicle essential)
• Domestic support (cleaning, meal preparation, household tasks)
• Medication support, PEG feeding, catheter/IDC care
• Use of assistive equipment (hoists, mobility belts)
• Basic admin duties such as case notes and progress reporting

Essential Requirements for all Support Workers:

• A genuine passion for working as a Support Worker, making a lasting difference in people's lives
• Strong communication skills and a person-centred care approach
• Compassion, resilience, and flexibility
• NDIS Worker Screening Check *
• First Aid Certificate *
• CPR Certificate *
• Working with Children Check *
• NSW Driver’s Licence & reliable vehicle
• Valid working rights in Australia *

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience working as a Support Worker, Disability Support Worker, Aged Care Worker, or Community Care Worker
• Qualifications in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, or Community Services
• Experience supporting clients with complex needs or high-intensity care
• Knowledge of NDIS processes and aged care systems is highly regarded
• Experience working in home care or community-based care settings
• Multilingual or culturally diverse backgrounds are warmly welcomed
• A sense of humour is a bonus!

Job Types: Casual, Contract

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
