Georges River Council operates five strategically located Early Learning Services, caring for about 400 children in areas like Beverly Hills, Carss Park, and Oatley. The Role

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports each child’s growth and individuality. You’ll assist in planning and delivering programs that foster curiosity and a love of learning, while building strong partnerships with families and collaborating with colleagues to provide enriching experiences.

Maintain a safe, hygienic environment and ensure adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements, including child protection and WHS standards.
Assist in documenting children’s developmental progress and maintain compliance-related records, including risk assessments for activities and excursions.
Implement and uphold inclusive policies and practices that respect diversity and support equity for all children and families.
Work as an active member of the teaching team, contributing to meetings, decision-making, and fostering positive communication within the centre.
Uphold the centre’s philosophy and code of conduct through role modelling and provide on-the-job guidance to team members and students.

Who You Are

Certificate III in Children’s Services (or equivalent) (or willingness to obtain before expiry).
Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management certifications, plus a valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain before expiry).
Approved Child Protection training and Food Handling certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively and role-model professional standards.

What We Can Offer

A permanent part-time position available based at Oatley West Early Learning Centre:
2 x days per week (8-hours shifts per day), working Thursday and Friday.
The opportunity to work additional shifts (Monday-Wednesday) across our five early learning services.
Salary from $61,882.24 - $71,698.22 (pro-rated) per annum plus 12% superannuation (dependant on the skills, qualifications and relevant experience of the suitable candidate)
