Casual OSHC Educators – Our Lady Help of Christians School Hours Care - Hendra

We care for up to 75 school-aged children before and after school, and during school holidays. At Our Lady Help of Christians OSHC, we’re passionate about continuous improvement and work closely with children, families, staff, Hendra Northgate Parish and the wider school community to create a service everyone feels proud to be part of.

Our program offers a healthy breakfast and afternoon tea each day, alongside engaging activities like arts and crafts, games, gardening, sports and plenty of play-based fun that supports children’s wellbeing and development.

Located in our own dedicated space near the Prep playground, we also enjoy access to a range of school facilities—giving children lots of room to explore, move and play.

A day in the life of an OSHC Educator…

  • Providing nurturing care for children
  • Ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming environment

  • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.

Job Requirements:
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) or ACECQA equivalent is desirable, but not essential.
  • Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire
  • Child Protection training is preferred for this role
  • Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
