Located in the heart of Tempe, just a stone’s throw from the train station, Betty Spears Child Care Centre is a beloved, not-for-profit long day care centre with a rich history of enriching young minds for over 40 years. We are licensed to care for up to 56 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

Requirements
Eagerness to take on a leadership role
Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) (ACECQA approved)
Valid NESA Registration (for ECT)
Experience in an Early Childhood setting (New graduates are encouraged to apply)
A high level of understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Valid working rights in Australia
Current First Aid certificate, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (preferable)
Current Working with Children's Check (NSW)
Food Handlers Certificate
Child protection training
About The Role
You Will
Have a passion to support children’s growth and development from infancy to preschool.
Lead your team to provide mentorship and support, and work collaboratively with others to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care to children.
Develop strong relationships with children and families and partner with them to support their children’s growth.
Plan and implement engaging learning programs that meet children’s developmental and emotional needs. You will also provide a stimulating, positive and fun environment that is responsive to children’s strengths and interests.
Have strong communication skills and the capability to observe and document children's development and progress using methods that reflect the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework.
Implement, practice, and deliver on the centre’s policies, procedures, and philosophy.
Learn and integrate our current approaches into your learning programs (e.g. Circle of Security, child-centred, inquiry-based approach, inclusive practices and Sustainability in an early childhood setting). A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development would be supported at the centre.
