Direct Support Worker (Arts)

• Support artists with disability to develop their creative practice and reach their artistic goals
• Assist in the facilitation of visual arts workshops in group and 1:1 settings
• Set up and pack down workshop spaces and manage associated administration
• Provide personal care support in line with individual participant needs
• Maintain accurate records including attendance rosters, enrolment forms and incident reports
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming and accessible studio environment

• Experience in visual arts-based programs or workshops, ideally with people with disability
• A genuine understanding of visual arts practice and how to apply it in a supported setting
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• The ability to work independently and as part of a small, committed team
• Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
• Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current C class driver’s licence with access to a vehicle
