About the role

API Landscapes is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Landscape Apprentice to join our growing team in Western Sydney . This is a full-time apprenticeship opportunity where you will work alongside experienced landscape professionals, developing practical skills and knowledge in all aspects of landscape construction. You will play a vital role in helping us deliver high-quality landscaping projects to our clients whilst building a rewarding career in the trades. This hands-on position offers genuine exposure to every facet of the landscaping industry, from site preparation and plant selection to hardscaping and machine operating

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with landscape design implementation and site preparation

• Planting trees, shrubs and gardens under supervision and guidance

• Installing hardscaping features including concrete , retaining walls, paving, decking/pergolas, pool surrounds and garden structures

• Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment and machinery safely and effectively

• Preparing and maintaining tools and equipment at the end of each working day

• Tidying worksites and ensuring all materials are properly stored

• Supporting senior team members on various landscaping projects

• Learning about plant varieties, soil preparation and garden maintenance techniques

• Following health and safety protocols and best practice procedures on all sites

• Contributing to maintaining a professional and safe working environment

What we're looking for

1. A passion for outdoor work and the landscaping industry

2. Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour

3. Willingness to learn and develop new skills in the trades

4. A positive attitude, reliability and commitment to completing tasks

5. Reliable and punctual

6. Basic numeracy and literacy skills

7. A current, valid driver's license and own transport is required

8. Ability to work safely and follow all health and safety requirements

9. No prior experience necessary – full training will be provided

10. A genuine interest in plants, gardens and outdoor environments is valued
