We're a close-knit, high-performing team focused on protecting and strengthening our IT infrastructure through disciplined, risk-based change governance. You'll work alongside talented technology professionals who are passionate about operational resilience, continuous improvement, and keeping our systems running smoothly — all in support of Auto & General's vision to be Australia's best insurer.
The role
As a Technology Change Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, controlled, and efficient implementation of all technical changes across our IT environment. You'll be a key member of the Technology Change Control team, directly supporting the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and contributing to our operational resilience and compliance posture.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Receiving, logging, triaging, and assessing incoming change requests for completeness, urgency, and impact
- Preparing agendas, materials, and minutes for CAB meetings, and tracking decisions and action items
- Assisting in risk assessment for proposed changes and contributing to mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Supporting impact analysis of changes on IT systems, applications, and infrastructure in collaboration with technical teams
- Communicating change-related information clearly to stakeholders throughout the change lifecycle, managing expectations and escalating concerns as appropriate
- Tracking KPIs and preparing regular reports on change performance to support continuous improvement
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records of all change requests, approvals, and implementations in line with internal policies, APRA regulatory requirements, and audit standards
- Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of change management processes, CAB operations, and automation
What Experience You'll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in change control, change administration/coordination, IT general control auditing, or a technical IT role
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and systems
- Highly desirable: experience with ITIL change management/enablement processes and ServiceNow ITSM
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk, identify dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to documentation and process compliance
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proactive, self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments
- Understanding of APRA prudential standards and regulatory compliance obligations is advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent experience
