Site Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Site Engineer will play a key role in planning, coordinating and supervising civil and structural construction activities across multiple project sites. The role involves ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with engineering standards, project specifications and construction schedules.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, site supervisors, steel fixers, concreters and formwork teams to oversee structural and civil engineering aspects of construction works.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $170,000 plus superannuation

Task & responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise structural concrete, formwork and construction activities in accordance with engineering drawings, project specifications, Australian Standards and construction schedules.
• Review, interpret and analyse engineering drawings, structural plans, technical documentation and construction specifications to support project delivery requirements.
• Provide engineering support for formwork, steel fixing, concreting and reinforced concrete structural works across high-rise commercial and residential construction projects.
• Monitor project progress onsite and provide technical engineering input to resolve construction issues and support efficient project delivery.
• Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders regarding engineering, construction and project coordination matters.
• Assist with project planning, forecasting, scheduling, procurement coordination, cost tracking and variation management activities.
• Develop, review and maintain project documentation including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality assurance records, work packs, progress reports and site documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant, materials and construction resources to support project delivery schedules and operational requirements.
• Monitor project risks, site performance and construction outcomes while contributing to project reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all engineering and construction activities comply with relevant Australian Standards, building regulations and workplace safety legislation.
• Prepare technical reports, site records, progress updates and engineering documentation to support project management and stakeholder reporting.
• Collaborate with construction teams to support the successful delivery of foundations, slabs, columns, walls, beams and other reinforced concrete structural elements.
• Assist in identifying engineering solutions and implementing practical improvements to construction methodologies and site operations.

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in civil or structural construction projects
• Experience working on commercial or residential construction sites, preferably involving formwork, reinforced concrete or high-rise developments
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles and Australian building standards
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and structural plans
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary construction teams
• White Card and valid driver licence preferred
