Carpenter

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring strong carpentry skills with a specialised focus on formwork and structural frameworks, supporting our high-rise commercial and residential construction projects. The role involves work at multiple project sites throughout New South Wales.

SALARY RANGE: $85,000 - $110,000 plus superannuation

Task & responsibilities

• Study and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project plans to determine project requirements, dimensions, materials and installation procedures.
• Select and prepare timber, steel and other materials required for formwork construction.
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble materials using hand and power tools in accordance with project specifications.
• Construct, erect and instal formwork systems for foundations, columns, walls, slabs, beams and other structural elements.
• Instal bracing, supports and temporary frameworks to maintain the integrity and trueness of structures during concrete pouring activities.
• Assemble prepared timber and formwork components onsite, ensuring structures and fittings are ready for installation and concrete placement.
• Cut and prepare wood joints and framework connections to achieve precise and secure assembly of formwork structures.
• Collaborate with Steel Fixers, Concreters and other construction personnel to coordinate reinforcement placement and concreting schedules.
• Inspect completed formwork installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and workplace safety regulations.
• Maintain carpentry tools, equipment and work areas in a safe, clean and operational condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times to promote a safe and productive construction environment.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with multiple trades onsite
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding construction site conditions
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
