At BluBuilt, we don’t just deliver projects — we build environments that shape communities and challenge what “good” looks like in construction. We’re a team that backs each other and finishes stronger than we start. BluBuilt employs high-performing people who take ownership, solve problems, and get the job done right.

If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to step into a role where you’ll genuinely influence project outcomes - this is it.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer (PE) to join our team. This role is critical in supporting the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion through strong contract administration, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

You will play a key role in managing contract documentation, coordinating subcontractors on-site, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Contract Administration
  • Manage contract documentation, including budgets, programs, cash flow forecasts, accruals, variations, and WHS plans
  • Prepare and administer progress claims, EOTs, RFIs, and variations
  • Maintain accurate records in Procore and contract management systems
  • Review project scope and ensure subcontract agreements align with requirements
  • Coordinate contracts with suppliers and external stakeholders
Project Coordination
  • Review drawings and specifications and ensure alignment with site conditions
  • Procure and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, including on-site oversight
  • Conduct inspections, support ITPs, and track corrective actions
  • Maintain project documentation, site instructions, and reporting
  • Identify and elevate issues to keep projects on track
Program & Stakeholder Management
  • Attend and contribute to stakeholder meetings with contract and project updates
  • Ensure alignment between project teams, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Prepare meeting agendas and record clear minutes
  • Build strong working relationships across all stakeholders
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and project performance
  • Identify contract and procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Assist with dispute resolution and commercial matters
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards
  • Complete and manage monthly accruals for all projects
  • Track and allocate costs against subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Support financial close‑out, ensuring all invoices are finalised
  • Provide reporting to Project and Divisional Managers
What You Bring
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
  • Previous experience in a Project Engineer or similar role
  • Strong understanding of contract administration and project delivery
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
Why BluBuilt?
  • Competitive salary package
  • Opportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects
  • Supportive team environment with career growth opportunities
  • Ongoing training and professional development
