Quality Analyst

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Engineer to join an iconic Australian brand undergoing a major digital transformation. In this role, you will be the driving force embedding elite quality and testing practices straight into the software development lifecycle. Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with BAs and Engineers to craft testable, automatable Acceptance Criteria, estimate test efforts, and build comprehensive test plans.Drive squad quality ownership and lead method-driven testing execution (directed by QE, not the Product Owner).Create detailed test cases/notes, proactively manage test data requirements, and maintain automation test suites as applications evolve.Adhere to CI/CD principles, coding standards, and security best practices while participating actively in squad ceremonies.Highlight, track, and resolve environment-related issues and software defects through proper channels.RequirementsExperience: 5-10 years testing web, mobile, and backend platforms, with 3-5 years in fast-paced Agile/Scrum environments.Automation & Code: Strong background in functional and automated testing. Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or Kotlin, alongside Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.Tooling: Hands-on experience with Cypress, Rest Assured, and monitoring tools like Splunk and Datadog.Testing Rigour: Solid expertise in integration, system, and end-to-end (E2E) testing, defect management, and strategic test planning.Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.Preferred:Background in the airline/aviation industry, specifically working with booking systems.Experience or interest in non-functional testing (Performance, Accessibility, or Security).This role is a 6 month contract based hybrid in Sydney 2 days in office. It can pay up to $800 incl. Super per day. Please note only candidates with full working rights will be considered for this role.
