Steel Builder (AUS) continues to expand nationally, delivering high‑quality structural steel solutions across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. As our pipeline grows, we’re strengthening our operations team with people who take ownership, communicate clearly, and help drive projects to successful completion.

We’re looking for a Project Co‑Ordinator (Structural) who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys working closely with project teams, and wants to play a key role in delivering complex structural steel projects.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will:

  • Liaise with project managers and subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of structural steel projects

  • Monitor project progress, identify issues early, and provide regular updates to stakeholders

  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor resources

  • Maintain detailed project documentation including schedules, budgets, and compliance records

  • Work closely with the design team to interpret plans and specifications

  • Provide practical support to site teams and ensure adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards

You’ll be a key link between design, procurement, and site delivery—helping projects run smoothly from planning through to completion.

What you’ll bring
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project coordination or site management within the construction or structural steel industry

  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methodologies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with project management software and documentation tools

  • Demonstrated problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities

  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (highly desirable)
