The Real Estate Institute of NSW (REINSW) is a leading membership association, representing and working with real estate agents across NSW.

About the role

Join the Real Estate Institute of NSW as a Project Manager as part of the management team in this full-time role based in Surry Hills, NSW, reporting to the General Manager, you will play a key part as the Project Manager responsible for leading and coordinating a range of projects from concept through to delivery. This includes planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management, resource coordination, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organisational priorities as well as the responsibility to manage the strategic plan of REINSW.

What you'll be doing

  1. Lead and manage organisational projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timeframes, and budget.

  2. Coordinate the implementation and ongoing management of the organisation’s Strategic Plan, including tracking progress against strategic priorities, monitoring performance indicators, and reporting outcomes to senior leadership.

  3. Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.

  4. Provide regular reporting to the Executive and Management Team on project status, risks, issues, and progress against strategic objectives.

  5. Facilitate collaboration across departments to ensure projects align with organisational priorities and operational capabilities.

  6. Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies and ensuring governance requirements are met.

  7. Engage and manage key stakeholders, both internal and external, to support project delivery and organisational initiatives.

  8. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and project delivery frameworks.

  9. Ensure effective documentation and governance for projects, including maintaining project registers, risk logs, and decision records.

  10. Support the CEO and the General Manager in translating strategic priorities into actionable projects and measurable outcomes.

  11. Monitor budgets and resource allocation associated with projects and strategic initiatives.

  12. Prepare presentations, reports, and briefing materials for executive leadership, committees, and the Board where required.

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will be an organised and collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in project management, including planning, implementation, and successful delivery of multiple projects.

  • Experience supporting or managing strategic plans, including tracking progress, coordinating initiatives, and reporting against organisational objectives.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, senior leaders, and external partners.

  • Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, presentations, and briefings for management and governance bodies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing solutions.

  • Experience with project governance frameworks, project tracking tools, and reporting systems.

  • A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes across teams.

  • High attention to detail, ensuring projects and strategic initiatives are delivered with accuracy and accountability.

  • Relevant qualifications in project management, business, or a related discipline (desirable).
