The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly capable Project Coordinator to deliver specialist coordination and systems support services to Unitus’ clients across public transport and infrastructure programs in various locations locally and internationally. This is a dynamic, customer-facing role that delivers a range of specialist support services across project phases, including pre-contract, operational readiness, and business-as-usual for complex transport and infrastructure projects. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-contract
Coordinate with key stakeholders across bid timelines, submissions, approvals, and SME inputs to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
Manage data rooms and maintain bid libraries.
Design and maintain document and record management frameworks and systems
Conduct tender risk assessments (commercial, financial, legislative, resource).
Lead bid handover to Operational Readiness teams.
2. Operational Readiness
Coordinate readiness plans across key stakeholders to ensure contractual requirements and timelines are met.
Manage bid transition and compliance review against contract obligations.
Develop integrated project plans (MS Project or similar) with JV and design partners.
Establish project governance structures and dashboards.
Undertake ongoing risk management activities.
3. Business-as-Usual
Develop and enhance management systems (document, contract, integration, LMS).
Capture user requirements and customise systems accordingly.
Manage data integrity, database integration, and reporting automation.
Develop dashboards, workflows, KPI trackers, and registers.
Lead data migration/archival, develop SOPs and facilitate associated training.
About You
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Master’s degree in project management and systems engineering
First experience in project coordination/management on a GoA4 metro project
Experience within large infrastructure PPP environments
Strong understanding of metro network design, operations, and maintenance
Proficiency in:
MS Project
Power BI
Microsoft SharePoint
Document Management Systems (e.g. TeamBinder, Bluebeam, Docuware)
Demonstrated systems engineering capability and experience (design, development, data analysis, programming)
Must be mobile as local and international travels are required
Desirable
Knowledge of tendering and bid process
Understanding of Bus and Light Rail operations
Commercial acumen
