We're looking for customer-focused and highly organised Community Centre Officer to join our team. In this role, you'll be part of a city-wide team supporting the hire and use of community centres across the city, from Ormeau to Coolangatta.

Our Community Centres team plays an important role in connecting people, groups and organisations with welcoming and accessible spaces across the city. About the role 

As a Community Centre Officer, you'll be the key contact for residents, community groups, businesses and organisations looking to hire our facilities. You'll manage enquiries, coordinate bookings, provide expert advice and help ensure every event and activity runs smoothly.

This is a varied role that combines administration, customer service and operational support. You'll spend much of your day managing bookings and customer enquiries while also assisting with venue logistics, site inductions and room set-ups when required.

What you'll bring

  • Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine desire to help people
  • Demonstrated experience in accommodation or travel reservations is essential
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence learning and using a range of digital systems and technologies
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support both customers and colleagues
  • Flexibility to assist with operational and venue-related tasks as required
