Support Families in Princess Alexandra Hospital Through Life-Changing Moments
Play a unique and highly specialised role supporting donor families across Queensland. As the state's dedicated Donor Family Support Coordinator, you will provide expert bereavement care, clinical leadership and service development that helps families navigate some of life's most difficult moments.
As the Donor Family Support Coordinator, you will deliver advanced clinical and consultancy services across Queensland's organ and tissue donation network. Working as the sole practitioner responsible for donor family care in Queensland, you will provide specialist bereavement support, influence service development, and collaborate with healthcare professionals and national stakeholders to ensure donor families receive compassionate, patient-centred care.
In this role, you will:
You are a highly experienced Social Worker, Psychologist or Counsellor with advanced clinical expertise and a passion for supporting families through grief and loss. You bring strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across complex healthcare environments.

It is responsible for the coordination of organ and tissue donation in the public and private sectors and works closely with the Queensland Tissue Banks.
