Kids Under Cover is seeking a dynamic Youth Housing & Asset Manager to lead our housing program and drive positive outcomes for young people at risk of homelessness through prevention and early intervention. In this newly created role, you’ll manage a growing portfolio of innovative housing assets including studios, mobile pods, and Village 21s; and lead all tenancy management functions. Your expertise in strategic asset management will ensure safety and sustainability of our housing assets. You’ll lead a dedicated team, foster strong stakeholder relationships, and champion continuous improvement to maximise impact. What You’ll Do: Develop and implement strategic asset management plans.Manage internal and external maintenance.Lead day-to-day operations of tenancy management functions.Optimise access to housing solutions for young people and families.Ensure compliance with legislation, funding agreements, and child safety standards.Drive innovation and efficiency through technology and data-driven insights. We Seek To Intervene Early To Alleviate Pressures That Lead To Homelessness Or Out-of-home Care Placements, With a Particular Focus On Enabling Equal And Equitable Housing Access For Aboriginal And Torres Strait Islander Peoples And Other At Risk Young People. Our Unique Accommodation Solutions Include: Relocatable one and two bedroom studios with a bathroom that are built in the backyard of a family or carers home to provide a safe space for young people aged 12 – 25 yearsVillage 21s, an accommodation model for young people aged 18 – 21 years with out of home care experience to support the transition into fully independent livingA small fleet of mobile pods (comprised of a single bedroom) that can be quickly and easily placed to provide a more rapid housing response Our scholarship program complements these accommodation solutions by providing funds for engagement in education or job training, further amplifying the outcomes for young people at risk of homelessness.
