Stars Foundation is a national not-for-profit organisation providing school-based engagement programs for over 3,000 First Nations girls and young women across 50+ schools in Australia.
Stars delivers a holistic, strengths-based program that supports wellbeing, cultural identity, confidence and life skills. At the heart of the program is the Stars Room, a culturally safe, welcoming space where students feel supported, nurtured and inspired to thrive.
Program Mentors play a vital role in supporting improved educational outcomes for girls and young women in the Stars Program. Working as part of a passionate and collaborative team, you will help create a safe, empowering and culturally strong environment where Aboriginal girls can thrive.
We are seeking an energetic and experienced individual, with a background or strong interest in Aboriginal education, to join the Stars Foundation team at Tennant Creek High School, on a fixed term basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of First Nations students, their families and communities.
