About the role

We currently have positions available for qualified, reliable, and passionate Personal Care Workers (with car) to join our team. It is preferred that you are an experienced Aged Care Worker or Disability Support Worker. You will need to be friendly, and positive and demonstrate client-focused behavior, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You’ll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference and be honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.   You will be providing assistance in the home and in the community, such as:

Disability Care 

Help people with disabilities live independent lives by providing care and support.

Assist with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and preparing meals.

Organize social and recreational activities to promote inclusion.

Monitor clients' health and medication and provide emotional support.

Work with a team and keep records of care.

Aged Care 

Support elderly individuals in maintaining their independence and well-being.

Help with personal care tasks, such as bathing and grooming.

Provide companionship and engage in conversations.

Assist with household chores and organizing activities.

Monitor health, administer medications, and document care.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members.

Personal Care 

Help clients with tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom.

Assist with moving and positioning to keep clients comfortable and safe.

Domestic Support

Assist with housekeeping, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.

Accompany clients for grocery shopping and errands.

Keep the living environment clean and organized.

Emotional and Social Support

Engage in conversations and activities to provide companionship and social interaction.

Offer emotional support and encouragement to clients.

Organize recreational activities based on clients' interests.

Safety and Health Monitoring

Monitor clients' health and promptly report any issues to healthcare professionals.

Identify and address potential hazards to maintain a safe environment.

Communicate with the appropriate parties regarding the client's health and well-being.

Transport Services

Provide transportation for clients and their dependents to appointments, errands, and other destinations as required.

Ensure a safe and comfortable travel experience for all passengers.

Adhere to traffic regulations and maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle.

Shopping Services / Shop-by-list Receive shopping lists from clients and ensure accurate and timely completion of shopping tasks.

Purchase items from designated stores or online platforms, following clients' preferences and budget considerations.

Handle transactions and maintain receipts for reimbursement, if applicable.

What We're Looking For

Availability to work from Monday - Friday, possibly weekend work

Must be located and willing to travel up to 30mins within desirable areas.

Qualifications

Updated CV/Resume with (2 Referees)

Visa and Passport or Proof of Australian Citizenship 

Photo Card

National Crime Record Check and Australian Federal Police Check (recently completed within 12 months)

Certificate III or IV (if Age Care, Disability and Individual Support) 

First Aid and CPR Certificate Proof of COVID vaccination Proof of immunization

Driver's license, Car registration, and Car Insurance (if you have)

WWCC (if you have)

NDIS Clearance (if you have)

TFN, Superannuation (Super Fund Name and Member Number) and Bank Details ( to be given during orientation) Must have a mobile smart phone and able to navigate through various applications.

Preferred Skills

Strong manual handling experience

With hoist experience

Must have a minimum 1 year of previous experience in aged care, disability, home & community care

Knowledge of person-centered care principles and safety regulations

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
