Disability Support Worker (Multiple Full-Time Positions) – Nawiri Care Services

💼 Job Type: Full-Time

💰 Salary: $68,000 - $78,000 per annum + Super

✅ Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care assistance, including grooming, hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and household tasks.
  • Support clients in community access and recreational activities.
  • Implement individualized care plans based on client needs.
  • Administer medications and provide therapy-based assistance as required.
  • Maintain detailed records and progress notes.
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS guidelines and workplace safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with families, support coordinators, and healthcare professionals to improve client well-being.

✅ Work Hours & Conditions:

  • Full-time position (minimum 38 hours per week).
  • Flexible roster, including morning, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts.
  • Work may involve manual handling and lifting where required.

Skills & Experience Required

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

✔️ Essential Criteria:

  • At least 12 months of relevant work experience in disability support, aged care, or community care.
  • Cert III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or an equivalent qualification.
  • First Aid & CPR Certification (current).
  • Manual Handling Training (preferred).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Valid Australian Driver’s License and access to reliable transport.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, overnight shifts, and public holidays.

✔️ Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience supporting clients with high-care needs, mental health challenges, or complex behaviors.
  • Knowledge of NDIS processes and Positive Behavior Support (PBS).
