The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Body Builder to join the team at Re-Car Brisbane.

You will be responsible for fabricating and installing new components and parts, including the bodywork, onto the chassis of commercial vehicles using welding techniques.

Role responsibilities

  • Assess the vehicle’s damage to determine how to perform the restoration work
  • Ensure the chassis crush is properly maintained & used appropriately
  • Treat company equipment with the same respect for your own tools
  • Advise the Parts Interpreter of any additional parts required not originally quoted on the estimate
  •  Co-ordinate with other workers in the workshop to ensure the workflow is appropriately placed
  • Notify of any product shortages which would restrict production
  • Check the schedule daily to ensure time-frames are met

  • Trade qualified
  • Proficiency in welding techniques and metal fabrication
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve issues that arise
  • Mechanical knowledge to assist in the usage and maintenance of tools
  • An overall aptitude for technical activities
