NDIS Disability Support Worker

Always Available is an NDIS provider based on the Gold Coast. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate support services to individuals with disabilities under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

As a Support Worker at Always Available, you will play an important role in assisting individuals with disabilities to live independent and meaningful lives. Your passion for helping others will contribute to supporting participants in achieving their goals, building confidence, and developing essential life skills.

• Deliver high-quality care and support to NDIS participants in line with their individual support plans and goals.

• Assist participants with daily living activities, including personal care and mobility support when required.

• Support participants in community access and social participation (e.g., attending local clubs, recreational activities, and community events).

• Encourage skill development and independence in everyday tasks.

• Maintain accurate documentation and records of supports provided and participant progress.

Essential

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or higher) OR Nursing background.

• Genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with participants, families, and the community.

• Compassionate, patient, and person-centred approach to care.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends if required.

• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).

• Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

• Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Highly Regarded

• Previous experience in disability support or a similar care role.

• Nursing experience or healthcare background.
