Boutique Disability Services is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to support a participant based in Nedlands.

This role focuses on relationship-based support, meaningful companionship, and respectful personal care. Experience supporting people living with dementia or cognitive decline will be highly regarded.

This position offers approximately 20 hours per week with consistent supports for the right applicant.

Please note: This role supports a female participant who has requested a female support worker for personal care and privacy needs.

About the role

You will be supporting the participant to maintain independence, wellbeing, and engagement with daily life through calm, patient and person-centred support.

Supports may include:

  • Social companionship and meaningful conversation
  • Community access (appointments, outings, activities)
  • Assistance with daily routines and maintaining structure
  • Encouraging independence and confidence
  • Transport within the community
  • Communication with family and the support team when required
  • Providing respectful personal care supports

This role is well suited to someone who is patient, warm, and comfortable supporting someone experiencing memory or cognitive changes.

Personal care supports may include

  • Toileting support where required
  • Mobility assistance where applicable
  • Gentle prompting and reassurance
  • Supporting dignity, comfort and wellbeing at all times

Experience with dementia support, disability support or aged care is highly valued, however applicants with the right attitude, patience and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Hours & Location

  • Approximately 20 hours per week
  • Consistent weekly supports
  • Primarily daytime shifts including weekends.
  • Location: Nedlands

  • Experience supporting people with disability, dementia, or aged care (preferred)
  • A calm, respectful and patient approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with participants
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working With Children Check if applicable (or willingness to obtain)
  • Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
  • First Aid / CPR (or willingness to obtain)
  • Understanding of professional boundaries and participant dignity
