Library Customer Service and IT Support Technician

The Opportunity
Moonee Valley Libraries is seeking an enthusiastic and technologically capable Library Technician to join the team at Sam Merrifield Library for a temporary contract. This role will be focused on delivering high-quality customer service, ensuring the efficient running of technology at the branch, supporting the delivery of the library's monthly email newsletter and coordinating meeting room bookings.

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have a Diploma of Library and Information Services acceptable for Library Technician membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
They will have strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and the well-developed Information Technology skills. Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting digital technologies, online library systems, and various hardware is essential. Strong time management and organisational skills, as well as the ability to lead and supervise staff when required, are key to success in this role.
