OSHC Service Leader

Giggling Gecko OSHC is seeking a motivated and experienced OSHC Service Leader to lead our Outside School Hours Care program located at Poseidon Primary School in Heathridge.

The Service Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring a safe, engaging and high-quality environment for children attending before school care, after school care and vacation care.

In this role you will lead and support a team of educators while ensuring the program is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and My Time, Our Place (MTOP). You will play a key role in ensuring the service operates in line with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and relevant education and care regulations.

Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, managing staff rosters and ratios, supporting educators with programming and documentation, maintaining compliance, and building positive relationships with children, families and the school community.

This is a leadership role suited to someone who is organised, passionate about working with school aged children and confident in supporting a team to deliver engaging and inclusive programs.

• Lead the daily operations of the OSHC service
• Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Education and Care Regulations
• Support and mentor educators within the team
• Plan and oversee engaging programs aligned with EYLF and My Time, Our Place (MTOP)
• Encourage child-led experiences that support wellbeing, creativity and social development
• Build positive relationships with children, families and the school community
• Manage staffing, rosters and ratios
• Maintain programming documentation including observations, reflections and planning cycles
• Ensure a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all children

We are looking for a confident and organised leader who is passionate about working with school aged children and supporting educators.

You will ideally have:

• Experience working in Outside School Hours Care
• Previous leadership or coordinator experience (preferred)
• Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, EYLF and MTOP
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and staff
• Strong organisational and time management skills

•Relevant qualification in Education, Childcare, Teaching or a related field (or currently working towards)
• Minimum 1–2 years experience working in Childcare or Outside School Hours Care
• Minimum 1–2 years experience in a team leadership or coordinator role
• Valid Working With Children Check (WA) required prior to commencement
• HLTAID012 First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (or willingness to obtain)
• Child Protection Training (or willingness to obtain)

• Hourly rate up to $41 per hour (depending on experience)
