Centre Cook

PlayPatch Early Learning Annerley is seeking a passionate and experienced Childcare Centre Cook to join our team. This part-time position will involve preparing nutritious and balanced meals for children aged 6 weeks to school age.

PlayPatch Annerley is a brand new early learning centre opening in April 2026, and we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about creating healthy meals and being part of a positive and welcoming community from the very beginning.

This role offers flexible hours to support work–life balance and the opportunity to work in a supportive early childhood environment.

• Plan, prepare and cook nutritious, well-balanced meals and snacks for children each day

• Ensure meals comply with food safety standards and nutritional guidelines for early childhood settings

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment

• Work closely with the leadership and educator team to support children's dietary and allergy requirements

• Maintain accurate records of menu planning, food preparation and temperature logs

• Assist with ordering and managing kitchen supplies and stock

• Follow centre policies and procedures regarding food safety and hygiene

• Previous experience working as a cook in a childcare centre, school, or similar environment (preferred)

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (required)

• Knowledge of nutrition and safe food handling practices

• Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A positive attitude and passion for supporting children’s health and wellbeing
