FILTEC celebrated our 33rd birthday at HQ in Auckland, NZ last year! We’re the largest and most successful privately owned water treatment company that offers engineered, installed and maintained water treatment infrastructure across the ditch. Over here in Australia, we have two offices which launched in 2020, and now we’re growing exponentially – making this it’s the perfect time to join our dynamic business!

The Role

Based out of Melbourne, this role focuses on the maintenance and upgrade of existing Water Treatment Plants at municipal and industrial sites. You’ll be visiting a variety of metropolitan and regional sites throughout Victoria; from council sites through to wineries!

  • Install, service, repair and upgrade water treatment systems, including filtration systems, disinfection equipment, pumps, valves, and other components.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks, inspections, and performance tests on water treatment systems to ensure optimal functionality and adherence to industry regulations.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs, provide technical advice, and offer recommendations for improving system performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including equipment maintenance logs, service reports, and client communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, best practices, and regulatory changes to provide informed technical support and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Embrace and champion safety on-site to prevent accidents and promote a safe work environment.





Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Service Technician, preferably in the water industry or a similar field.
  • Technical certification, such as trade qualifications (TAFE) are desirable but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of drinking water treatment systems, including various filtration methods, disinfection techniques, and water quality parameters is also desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a natural ability to troubleshoot.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication and listening skills
  • Attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
  • Valid driver's license
