We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Governance and Planning Lead to join a newly established function on an initial 6-month contract. This role will focus on improving how technology initiatives are assessed, prioritised, governed, and measured, ensuring investment decisions align with strategic objectives and deliver tangible business outcomes. Working closely with senior stakeholders across technology, strategy, and delivery teams, you will drive portfolio planning, governance, reporting, and value realisation practices across a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead portfolio planning, prioritisation, and governance processes
  • Develop frameworks to track benefits, performance, and business value
  • Drive alignment between technology investment decisions and strategic goals
  • Facilitate portfolio reviews, reporting, and decision-making forums
  • Establish transparent intake and demand management processes
About you
  • You have extensive experience in portfolio management, setting up PMO from scratch and governance
  • Strong background working across Agile and traditional delivery environments
  • Experience implementing portfolio planning, prioritisation, and value realisation framework
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational change
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
